My Copy of the Book Year Published: 2012 Genre: Christian; Non-Fiction Blurb: Grace. We talk as though we understand the term. The bank gives us a grace period. The seedy politician falls from grace. Musicians speak of a grace note. We describe an actress as gracious, a dancer as graceful. We use the word for hospitals, baby girls, kings, and premeal prayers. We talk as though we know what grace means. But bestselling author Max Lucado says we’ve settled for a wimpy grace, a goldfish grace that sits in a bowl on the shelf and never causes trouble or demands a response. Now available as a trade paperback, Lucado's bestselling book reminds readers that there’s more to grace than we’ve ever imagined. In this cornerstone message of Lucado's ministry, he challenges readers to not only receive grace but also to be changed by grace. Shaped by grace. Strengthened by grace. Emboldened by grace. Softened by grace. Snatched by the nape of their neck and shaken to thei...

One Year!

Hello Everyone, I can't believe that it's a year since I've started this book blog! Time has flown by; and this blog has come a long way since I started my first post.  I've had the privilege of being able to read books that I wouldn't normally either because of availability and/or the cost of buying the book. I've also had the privilege of being able to connect and work with new authors as well that I wouldn't have normally been able to had I not started a book blog. The only thing I do wish, is that I had more time to connect with people on social media; namely Twitter, but since I have a full time job, that isn't always possible. Though feel free to chat with me anytime over Twitter, link to my Twitter is  here I also appreciate everyone that I manage to interact with over Twitter as well, and those that I interact with on my book blog. I still have some book blogging plans in the works, that I'm hoping to do this year still. I'd ...

My Copy of the Book Year Published: 2016 Genre: Christian; Nonfiction Blurb: Your life is filled with pressure and pain and heartache and disappointment. So was His. If you’ve ever tried to pick up the shattered pieces of your life and put them back together again without help, you know it’s an impossible task. When you lose your job, when divorce divides your family, when a loved one commits suicide, or when cancer claims a friend, it’s easy to lose perspective and abandon hope. According to Jon Weece, Christianity does not require you to smile through your pain, much less praise God for tormenting you. God doesn’t enjoy your suffering. But he does understand it—and he knows exactly how to fix it. That’s what Me Too is all about: A God who turned the ugliness of the cross into a spectacle of eternal beauty. An all-powerful Lord who will do the same with the pain of this world. An eternal Father who specializes in wiping away tears and putting you back together aga...

Highlights of the Month - February 2017

Hello Everyone, February on the one hand has been a nice month; on the other hand, it's been a bit of a tough month as well. Even though I had a holiday, I only managed to read three books this entire month...! Though out of the three books, my favourite would probably be 'Family Ties' by Danielle Steel. Another thing that I also did this month was hold my first read-a-thon. I was on holiday during that, and managed to squeeze a little bit of reading in.  I also started a 'Monthly Reading Goals', and was able to complete my first assignment on that one, which was read either a chick lit book, or a christian book. I managed to read (though not finish), a chick lit book. Which brings me to... Monthly Reading Goals: Since February went alright, here is my selection for MARCH : Read either: A Psychological Thriller book OR A Christian book I'm hoping to get to both of these in the month of March, even though at this stage it might seem a little bit ...
